At the Battle of Libušín 2026, Digladior is preparing a special Friday professional program for performers focused on historical combat, practical training, and a deeper understanding of selected topics. This block is intended for those who want to take away more than just the experience of the event from Libušín — concrete inspiration, new knowledge, and a more practical perspective on historical combat.

What the performer can expect

⚔️ 3× 50 minute seminar

⚔️ 10 minutes break between blocks

🎓 20 minute lecture

💬 20 minutes of questions and discussion

🕓 Friday approx. 4:00 PM–8:00 PM

Seminar topics

The resulting trio of seminars will be selected according to the interests of the participants from a pre-prepared list of topics:

• harness fencing

• dagger

• fang

• long sword

• sword and shield

• poleaxe

The specific form of the program will therefore be determined by the interest of the participants themselves.

Lecture and questions

The program will also include a shorter lecture on a selected topic from the field of historical struggle and its interpretation. A follow-up question and answer session will allow the audience to go into more depth and open up topics that will interest the participants the most.

Who will lead the program?

Digladior is one of the largest schools of historical fencing in the Czech Republic, focused on European historical martial arts. It has long been dedicated to teaching long sword, fang, dagger, sword and shield, polearms, armoured fighting and medieval wrestling.

In addition to regular training and seminars, Digladior is also dedicated to the popularization of historical fencing, public demonstrations, lectures, and the creation of educational video content.
